A birthday party for Creative Commons for all of the friends, users, developers, and soon-to-be friends of Creative Commons - a continuous birthday celebration and synchronization to light up the blogosphere, explore CC-licensed content, and to meet up with friends.

If you're not able to make it one of these global birthday bashes, then don't fret. You can still:

* catch some of the action in Second Life,
* plug into the digital trail (flickr photos, videos, etc.) under the tag "CCBday5",
* and watch Gilberto Gil's live performance from San Francisco on Air Mozilla .

Just remember: a local birthday party doesn't have to be big and wild -- just grab some friends, pour a drink, and toast to five happy CC years & many more to come!

Are you sure about Gilberto Gil performing at the San Francisco bash? When I check the wiki website, there's no mention of it, only DJ sets as far as music is concerned...

To the best of my knowledge, Gilberto Gil will be in attendance and performing in SF: http://creativecommons.org/weblog/entry/7855. I think the wiki page may just need to be fleshed out a bit...
