Continuing a thread from a previous article (http://icommons.org/articles/talking-about-the-worlds-tedencies), it seems like a brilliant way to spread our ideas and conversations in the next iSummit (particularly but not limited to the keynotes) is to provide professional-quality video coverage and archiving.
As mentioned in the commentary of the TED Talks article, iSummit 08 can match this standard of video footage! Let's pool ideas and resources and make it happen! :) |

Michelle, a good way to ensure high quality video coverage is to ensure that the task is handled by professional videographers. Sure, its going to cost us but that's the only way to make the iSummit meaningful to folks who can't physically make it to the event.
At Dubrovnik, I saw most sessions in the main hall were video taped but I hardly am able to find those videos. So, shooting is one thing and making them easily available for consumption and for remixing is another.
Look forward to more ideas from others. Cheers! |

yes! I've been thinking of this lately too. And lucky for us, we are working with the fabulous team from Digital Garage who I'm sure will make this happen. |

Awesome! The team did a neat job at Dubrovnik. I remember them filming you even in the crowded bus on our return from the boat trip.
At Sapporro, the Digital Garage team will be even bigger, I'm sure.
Heather, we should also encourage more attendees to blog and podcast the event. That's where the true spirit lies and will get iSummit across to more folks.I'd be happy to spearhead this initiative. |

That would be awesome, Kiruba! Definitely agree that we need more citizen journalists at the event :) |

A key change at iCommons
If you're not part of the iCommons mailing list, take a look at the letter that Heather Ford, Executive Director of iCommons, sent to the list yesterday:
Dear friends,
At the 2 August iCommons Board Meeting, the board decided to make some difficult but necessary changes at iCommons. It has become clear over the past months that our vision for iCommons is different from the... more
