Create an open source press kit that integrates commercial and non commercial physical spaces and media with art. Bring the media to the art. Have regular open source events in physical spaces.
Find spaces and media that want to integrate into the kit. Find out what the artists want. Find a team to build the site.
Map out potential free culture spaces.
Something to consider: In Europe much of the entertainment is subsidized. Most theaters are set up as non-profit organizations and just about every small town or city has a non-profit entertainment space/bar. These spaces can adapt many aspects of free-culture, as can commercial spaces. They just need information on how.
It makes sense to map out these spaces and then create a user friendly way for the venue and the artist to interact with each other. Artists spend to much time effort and energy connecting to media. It also makes sense for these forms of media to come to the artists.
Examples:-
-When an artist creates something that can be used in media, why need the artist upload to many different sites the same media ?
- When an artist does a performance, why must the artist enter the data for a show again and again.
-Why can't these sites come to a central "open source artist press kit".
-Why need artists that are contributing to systems be inflicted with advertsing when they are contributing the source media ?
-Can't art automatically migrate to these sites, can commercial sites respect the providers of content ?
Step 1 -Find spaces/media/sites that would integrate this press kit system into their system.
Step 2 -Find out how artists like their art displayed.
Step 3 -Find a team to build the project, or adapt the project to an existing "open source" platform.
Step 4- Create an "open source artist press kit" that enocmpass's as many aspects of art as possible.
Step 5- Have regular events in a physical spaces that bring all the people that are a part of the process together.
