To develop a policy to guide the adoption of document formats both generally and by iCommons for its various purposes

Summary description

The issue of document formats is a hot topic. Document formats either facilitate or hinder open access to information and knowledge and a policy to guide the adoption of document formats is necessary

Detailed description

It is consistent with iCommons' philosophy and the Commons philosophy itself for iCommons to formulate a policy that will guide the adoption of document formats that will meet requirements such as open access both internally and externally as recommended document formats.

The idea is for the community to contribute towards the formulation of this policy that could be adopted for the benefit of the community as a whole.
