My name is Shalala Oliver Sepiso and I am based in Lusaka, Zambia. Currently, I am the Country Manager of the Zambian NGOs eRiding Project which is a new initiative in Zambia. We support non-profits with Strategic Technology Planning, ICT training and other support in the area of FLOSS. In January 2006, I was also appointed the National Coordinator for the YouthIT, Entrepreneurship and HIV/AIDS Project run by Rotary International, The World Bank and The State Department of the US Government. It has trained 200 youth in ICDL, HIV/AIDS and Entrepreneurship as part of a process to support the HIV/AIDS response. Currently, I am working on the Access to Knowledge and Commons project in Zambia which hopes to port Crearive Commons licenses into Zambian jurisdiction. We also hope to raiuse awareness of Software licenses like GPL. As a youth NGO, we lead these ICT processes but we are working with bigger and more established NGOs like NGOCC, HURID etc.
