Wrecking movies!

'We believe that there is a place for all kinds of creative people in film. The purpose of this gathering is to exchange information on collaborative film experiences with creative people of all types whether they have been involved in film or not while enjoying the full length of the Star Wreck film with subtitles and volume turned up for the explosion scenes. We also to have a drawing to give away a few Star Wreck DVDs and t-shirts.

Possible outcomes: The hope is a 2 way outcome. First, we will plan to share more depth beyond our keynote speech about the Star Wreck experience of collaborative film making and commercialization and hope that our experience helps others in their Creative Commons usage. Samuli will talk about how they got 300 people in the credits, 3000 people in the community and more than 5 million downloads which led to the commercial success of the movie. Herkko will talk more about the commercial model of licensing which he helped us implement.

Second, Star Wreck Studios is launching a service that helps people collaborate on film projects, license content to use in movies and license the films themselves . At this forum, we will also let people in on some of the features we plan to launch in the service over the summer and hope to get their feedback based on their own needs and experiences.

In addition we are looking for some enthusiastic and critical people to join in our limited Beta test over the summer. We are also looking for people to participate in Star Wreck Studios Net Teams and for potential employees globally.'
