i vs Commons
The struggle of the individual in the Net
We romanticize the journeyman coder and the lone blogger, the builders and voices that no longer need to be in the wilderness thanks to a Net that can bypass large, uncreative intermediaries. But the ethos of the commons is about working together - sharing and remixing in ways that make a whole greater than the sum of the parts. Where do the individual and the commons diverge, and where do they intersect?
