Thoughts on film schools and CC: for an artist to get their materials into a short film/film is great. The short film/film maker does not want to have to create all their materials themselves (for the most) and most likely can't afford to pay for the rights to use music. Most end up asking friends for permission to use art, this often means that they don't get the style of music they want. Most film students have no heard of CC. It makes to provide CC music content to film schools. thought: If independent film schools got together, students could even put out submissions for content.

also: recently I was at a flea market, I found 1 and half hours of super 8 film footage that dated from 1962 to 1985 from travels around easter europe. I thought that this footage as bad or good as it may be (its being digitized right now) could be licensed to the public domain. It would be nice to have a site where I could upload this type of footage. or is one already around ? some kind of collaborative project could be around that combines these ideas. If one film student at a schools sources image and/or music via CC and the film is a success, this is good exposure for the CC licenses, this is a better use of resources.

It would be nice to collect a data bass of artists that support CC, maybe artists that do contribute to these pools of resources could at least have the artists community within CC help them with their work in their free time.

I noticed on face book that your able to upload video directly from
your cam on your computer to facebook, have not tested the
application yet. It seems cool. I just thought that it might be a
good idea to create a plugin so that people could record themselves
singing something and then have it available through a cc license and
have a direct feed to the CC mixtrs account. Is something like this
possible ?
